Who is Andrzej Poczobut and why did Belarus release him?

Last Tuesday the Polish-Belarusian journalist Andrzej Poczobut was released by Belarus as part of a prisoner exchange with Poland. A fierce critic of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's regime, Mr Poczobut was sentenced to eight years in a penal colony in 2023. So why was he released now?
