‘What happens when we’re gone’ – Ageing parents caring for disabled children call for urgent action

Ageing parents who provide full-time care for their adult children with disabilities well into their 70s and 80s are fearful about what will happen to their children in the coming years, with an Oireachtas committee hearing how families are left to “suffer in silence”.
