Tories would replicate Irish government's immigration checks at NI border - saying Dublin has shown they are 'possible and necessary'

A future Tory government would be prepared to order immigration checks close to the Irish border – replicating controls carried out by the Republic on their side of the frontier, the shadow Northern Ireland Secretary has said.
