‘Tickets sell out within minutes every year’ – excited families take a journey back in time aboard the Santa Train

It’s 10am on a Saturday morning and the arrival hall of Dublin’s Connolly Station looks like something out of The Polar Express. There’s no need to ask for directions. I simply follow the trail of families in Santa hats and novelty jumpers through the ticket gates and on to platform four.
