Tech giants hit for €4bn in fines by Irish regulators – but only €17m collected

This week, three major new regulatory investigations were launched into multi- national tech and online retail firms operating out of Ireland. The inquiries come from the country’s two supercharged regulators, Coimisiún na Meán and the Data Protection Commissioner (DPC).
