Taxpayers ‘may be subsidising’ commercial events as Garda charges ‘low’ – PAC

Taxpayers may be “subsidising” commercial events as gardai are not charging a high enough rate to cover associated policing expenses, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has warned. The PAC said there was a need for policing at sporting occasions and music festivals but pointed out that An Garda Sio
