Suspended sentence for Sligo GAA footballer in HSE fraud

A 28-year-old Sligo GAA footballer and former Irish international basketball player was given a suspended sentence and ordered to pay €20,000 to a local charity and reimburse the outstanding amount owed to the HSE after defrauding them of over €84,000 by Judge Keenan Johnson at Sligo Circuit Court.
