Scandals, stars and some bottles of the ‘good stuff’ — celebrating 120 years of the ‘Sunday Independent’
During my days in the newsroom at the Sunday Independent, shortly after 7pm on a Saturday night, there would be a thunderous roar from the basement of Independent House in Middle Abbey Street, Dublin, and a slight tremor ran through the building as the printing presses began the laborious task of turning out the following morning’s newspaper.
