Oscar-nominated Persepolis author Marjane Satrapi dies aged 56

French-Iranian author, illustrator, filmmaker and activist Marjane Satrapi, whose graphic memoir Persepolis became an international bestseller and acclaimed animated film, has died at the age of 56.
