Northern Ireland's Protestant population down 14% over 100 years as number of Catholics doubles, study comparing census of 1926 to today shows

The number of Catholics in Northern Ireland has almost doubled over the last 100 years, while the number of Protestants is down by around 14%, census details have revealed.
