New rules from Naomi Long instruct PSNI to make 'efforts' to find female officers willing to search males identifying as women

The PSNI must attempt to find officers willing to search detainees of the opposite sex, if the person in custody says they prefer to be searched by an officer “of the same sex as their predominant lifestyle” under new Stormont guidance.
