
MV Matthew sold off for just one dollar after €157m cocaine bust
The MV Matthew container ship which was seized when it was nabbed in Irish territorial waters with 2.2 tonnes of cocaine on board has finally been offloaded after costing the taxpayer and incredible €19m for repairs, storage, and crew costs.The cocaine super ship has been sold for a nominal value of $1 and is expected to be used for scrap.Nicola speaks to Niall Donald about the cost of the war on drugs.
