Mid Ulster planners approve battery energy storage system next to electricity substation

A planning application for the erection of a battery energy storage system (BESS) to the rear of Tamnamore electricity substation has been approved, despite some concerns over the growing number of such facilities, and reported noise issues close to such infrastructure.
