Some decades after leaving home, I moved back for a time. Back into my childhood bedroom, complete with a dolls’ house in the corner and a dog-eared Jim FitzPatrick Celtic goddess poster on the door. My school blazer was still hanging inside the wardrobe, my first teddy and some balding dolls flopped on a shelf by the bed.
