Markets drift and economies slow ahead of Donald Trump’s Iran deadline

Oil and gas prices rose and stocks fell on Tuesday as the world braced for Donald Trump’s threat that “a whole civilization will die tonight” if Iran did not agree ceasefire terms, including reopening access to the Strait of Hormuz, by 1am Irish time tonight.
