Legislation required to protect Gardaí involved in accidents while responding to emergencies

Stronger legislation is required to protect members of An Garda Síochána from the current situation where they could face being “Convicted for doing their job and upholding the law,” said Cllr Thomas Walsh when speaking to his motion at the April meeting of Sligo County Council.
