John Scally: After 49 days without broadband, I had enough. What happened to service?

The late Queen Elizabeth famously described 1992 as her “annus horribilis” because of a series of royal scandals and a fire in Windsor Castle. This year, I have an inkling as to what she meant, as I have experienced sustained frustration, inconvenience and stress.
