Ian Ellis: Significant safety advances since the Chornobyl disaster mean that ruling out modern nuclear-produced energy seems overly fearful

​The recent 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl nuclear disaster in Ukraine, when the country was part of the Soviet Union, gave rise to much reflection on the experience and its implications for energy production today and into the future.
