Garda suffers broken finger after driver assault him and a colleague as he tried to evade arrest in Sligo

Anyone who assaulted a Garda during the course of their duty could expect to spend time in custody, Judge Kenneth Connolly told Sligo Circuit Court where a 29 year old man appeared before him after he violently resisted arrest.
