Gardaí call for on-duty driving licence that ­differs from their private one in wake of officer’s ban

Gardaí have called for a separate driving authorisation for work purposes so that any incidents that might happen on the road in the line of duty don’t affect their ability to get to work, bring their children to school or care for relatives.
