Former Mayor of Ballymena and well-known businessman both remembered in silent tribute at council

The Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Jackson Minford, led tributes to former first citizen PJ McAvoy following his recent death before councillors stood in the chamber to observe a one-minute silence.
