Evan Niland leads Clarinbridge to victory over Craughwell in Galway SHC

Clarinbridge overcame neighbours Craughwell 1-22 to 2-17 to record a first round victory on Saturday evening in Athenry, in a contest which they controlled for the most part. Cathal Coen’s charges led by eight points midway through the second half, before a late Craughwell rally saw the margin reduced to two at full time.
