For all the time we spend talking about food, dessert feels like it has quietly slipped down the priority list. Most people I know aren’t regularly baking cakes midweek or finishing dinner with something homemade. Instead, dessert is something quick and convenient and most likely bought in. Dessert, I now fear has become a bit of a dinner-party relic.
