David Clifford, 17 cameras and a Mogwai soundtrack: who doesn’t want to see that film?

Last week we had good reason to dust down our DVD copy of Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait for a re-watch. The 2006 French documentary film that focuses on the titular Zinedine Zidane is compelling for a couple of reasons: first, for the delicious score provided by Glaswegian post-rock band Mogwai, and, second, for the subject matter itself – the titular Zizou.
