Colm Tóibín: ‘I wish I had given up drinking much earlier or not bothered starting’
Colm Tóibín is a novelist and short story writer from Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, who has written some of the most successful Irish novels of the 21st century. His work includes Brooklyn and Long Island, and several of his books have been nominated for the Booker Prize. He currently lectures at Columbia University and lives in California with his partner.
