Climate Changemakers: Three positive initiatives for nature restoration in 2026 so far

Storm Chandra and the widespread flooding that followed earlier this year brought a stark reminder of our need to tackle the climate crisis. Nature restoration is a key element of that effort. While the situation looks grim, with 90pc of Ireland’s wildlife habitats estimated to be in poor condition, there are some green shoots – largely due to grassroots organisations coming together to spark important conversations, connect like-minded people, and encourage and celebrate positive action.
