‘Chronic underinvestment’ and unsustainable workloads driving teachers from the profession, says general secretary of the TUI

“Chronic underinvestment” is hampering schools, colleges and educational centres and campuses across the country, placing “unreasonable pressure” on teachers and widening inequality in the educational system in Ireland with students ultimately suffering the consequences, the general secretary of the Teachers’ Union of Ireland (TUI) has said.
