A ‘sweeping epic’ for the distracted generation – but ‘Lázár’ needs more meat

Lázár opens with the birth of Lajos, the male heir of the fictional Hungarian noble family the Lázárs. We quickly learn that the child, whose eerily translucent skin remains so all throughout his life, is the result of his mother’s affair with the groom.
